Special issue




Specially pre-selected works presented at the conference, after going through a refereeing process, will appear in a special issue of the Phil. Trans. of the Royal Soc. A.


Part  I: "Complex dynamics of life at different scales: from genomic to global environmental issues"


Part II: "Nonlinear dynamics in meso and nano scale systems: fundamental aspects and applications"


Please, only authors already invited can submit a contribution to the special issue.



Information for preparing and submitting your contribution


1) SUBMISSION (only by e-mail)


Contributions must be submitted in PDF format to lawnp09@puc-rio.br under the subject Phil-Trans(life)-LAWNP or Phil-Trans(nano-meso)-LAWNP, according to the specific part of the special issue.





Extended deadline for submission: March 31th, 2010.





a) You should prepare your manuscript following the journal style. Please, for a style guide and template files, see http://rsta.royalsocietypublishing.org/site/misc/style-guide.xhtml  (once in the page, click in the link "For authors" in the left).


b) Using the appropriate template, each article must be typically at most 16 pages length.


c) For the refereeing process, we need a PDF of the entire article, including all the figures with their figure legends, tables, references etc. (with a format already in the journal style).


d) Submit then the article by e-mail only, as explained above.





After the paper is accepted we will need:


a) A PDF of the entire article, including all the figures with their figure legends, tables, references etc.


b) A TeX file of all the text, including figure legends, tables, references etc. This should be based on the template provided on the web site. We can accept Word files if TeX is not available, also in the journal format.


c) Individual electronic files for each figure in the article (EPS preferred [which should be produced directly from original creation package], or original software format).


d) After the journal processes the manuscript, the author will receive page proofs and eventual final queries.
